Story a day: 6.10.16

The knights assembled around the table.

“One of you has betrayed me,” their king said.

No one so much as flinched.

The wizard entered the room, her cold gaze appraising each knight in turn. Marle the Yellow. Farah the Black. Ca’allan’ne’ancher the Red. The Blue, the Purple, the Green, the Maroon.

“Your spy is not here,” the wizard said.

The king stomped his foot. “Then how does he know my every move! Surely, I’ve been betrayed.”

The wizard turned to face him, pointing straight at him. “He uses your eyes.”
